A FATE INKED IN BLOOD - JANUARY UPDATE

Hello Dreamers!

We are finally able to give you an update on the production of our special edition for "A Fate Inked in Blood" by Danielle Jensen.

As you know, as the books arrived to us in November, we had to move shipping timeline to December - our hope being they would be ready by Christmas to be shipped your way.

Since the books arrived to us a month later, our usual typography was unfortunately full of work for Christmas commissions and couldn't assure us the book would be ready in a month time. We had meanwhile searched another company that could rebind the books for us, and found one who, at the time, seemed very reliable, being a company who collaborates with big italian publishers.

We took the books to them, who assured us they could take on the job and get them ready by Christmas.

Unfortunately, as shipping timeline approached, communication with us suddenly stopped.

We thought it was caused by a work overload due to the approaching of Christmas festivities, and that production was meanwhile proceeding as assured.

But then the company closed down for Christmas holidays, and no email or call was answered any more.

When everything re-opened here in Italy on the 7th of January, we contacted them once more not understanding what was happening.

Not receiving any reply, we finally decided to travel to their warehouse located in a different city, unannounced.

What we discovered was heartbreaking and infuriating, to say the least.

The books were exactly were we had left them in their warehouse when we brought them to them, completely untouched.

The owners were nowhere to be found. So we immediately decided to get all the books back, taking them away. We travelled back home and brought them directly to our usual typography, which is know proceeding with the customization.

We are of course very distressed about this situation and trying to understand with our lawyers if there's something that can be done for the delay this company has caused us.

The positive thing is this: the dustjackets have already been printed and are ready! And yes, our typography has started immediately working on the rebinding process.

We are expecting the books to be ready by mid-February, so, as for today, the new shipping timeline will be moved from the 24th to the 28th of February!

We are sorry for this extra delay, and understand any distress on your part.

Know that, even thought the situation here in Italy is very difficult with local companies (being the creation of special editions something nearly nobody does), we will do our best to never give up and always find the best solution possible to continue these projects!

For this reason, we thank you for all the support you always show us and for the love for what we create! It really means a lot!

We remain meanwhile at your disposal for any further questions or enquires!

Thank you!
